a campaign that will stimulate human mind, emotions, & conscious, while
creating awareness to the country at large about the scourge of piracy!
What is Piracy?
One would find her/himself asking this question, as a lot of
people are directly or indirectly involve in piracy, not realizing they are
supporting crime!!!! Lend me an ear I shall enlighten you about Piracy.
Piracy is theft!!!!! Yes
stealing! Therefore it's a crime!!!!! It is defined as “the unauthorized reproduction or use of a
copyrighted book, recording, television program, film etc” (International Federation of the
Phonographic Industry) defines it as the deliberate infringement of copyright
on a commercial scale”.
Time has changed the world is evolving
and so is technology, this means that people find themselves trying
to catch up, which sees them listening to music via their smart phones, iPods,
tablets and laptops rather than their
Hi-Fi’s and stereos.
You would want to ask yourself this question, am I a thief? Well are you
thief? Yes you! You might stumble to answer this question as I have said before
some are indirectly involved in piracy. Well if you have an iPod will lots of
tunes that you never paid for consider yourself a thief? Why? Simple because
the tunes you listen to everyday do not belong to you and you ever paid for them.
And you might have obtained them illegally not realizing you are doing so. The
only time one can claim something is when they have purchased it and it legally
belongs to them. So how many tunes in your iPod have you paid for? Well now you
know so STOP PIRACY and be original!
